AN ANALYTICAL STUDY OF RIGHTS OF MARRIED MUSLIM WOMAN AND CONFLICTING CULTURALS VALUES

Both married men and women are given equal rights for a happy and contented married life. But Islam has also given some special rights to a married woman, they are unique and equitable of their own kind. In married life, a woman is entitled as alimony, an alimony from a man. But in case, if she does not want to maintain a marital relationship with her husband, then Islam has made a clear way of freedom to her. In the subcontinent, especially in Pakistan and India, due to regional culture and traditions, different religions, lack of knowledge and immoral justification, women are facing a lot of problems in achieving their rights. This study analyzes how powerless women can raise voice for their rights and in how many ways women are suffering from cultural traditions, due to lack of knowledge and misconceptions spread by the society around them. Such as the right related to Dower, Maintenance, the right to alimony and the right to Khula are also being neglected.
