Abstract

Citizens are essential in forming the moral and ethical foundation of society in the dynamic modern world. People now confront more obstacles due to global interconnection, technology breakthroughs, and different cultural exchanges, which call for a higher sense of moral responsibility and ethical awareness. The moral and ethical duties of citizens are extremely important in the present day world, as people are facing a variety of difficulties and rapid changes. People of the 21st century are running on the road of advancement and development to win the race. They consider success - a modern life, modern thoughts and modern modes of living and for that purpose, they do not hesitate to trample the values and rights of humanity. Therefore, the people are becoming devoid of values, morals, and feelings. As a result, the societies of modern world are facing the crises of peace, tolerance, brotherhood, prosperity, respect, love, true relationship, and above all the humanity. The Islamic tradition's interpretation of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) offers a thorough ethical framework that is still applicable to modern society. The teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) encompasses morals, ethical values and obligations which are needed to be applied in the modern world in order to assure peace, prosperity, pure relationships, tolerance, equality and bond of brotherhood. This article examines the moral and ethical obligations of people in the contemporary world, emphasizing the applicability of the Prophet Muhammad's (ﷺ) teachings in creating a just and compassionate society.
