Abstract

The importance of morality in any society can't be denied. These morals and habits help to improve human life. In Islam, various thinkers, philosophers, mystics and reformers have declared essential the importance of morality in man's social life. Sheikh Saadi is one of them who explained the virtues of morality in Gulistan-e-Saadi which consist of generosity, truthfulness, forgiveness and humility. It has been observed that in some societies laws are made to bind people to morals. These laws are binding on human beings and sometimes punishments are also imposed for not adopting morality. But in human society, these morals and ethical laws are also given importance. Most of the states enforce these laws in general. The main purpose of these morals is to improve the quality of life of human beings, to correct their habits and to change their mood so that they can lead a peaceful, calm and prosperous life in the society. This article will highlight the importance and detailed positive social impacts in the light of Gulistan-e-Saadi.
