Abstract

The impact of orientalists on the history of Islam cannot be underestimated, as it encompasses both positive and negative outcomes. Therefore, it becomes imperative to uncover the goals and reasons that attracted them to this movement. Furthermore, comprehending the struggles faced by these orientalists is unavoidable, considering the significant influence they exerted. Among the notable orientalists, Thomas Carlyle's life history and contributions are extensively discussed in this study, making it a valuable asset for students, teachers, and researchers seeking a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
